In these special drumming intensive, Marla will explore:

• Frame Drumming in upright and lap style playing.
• Traditional Middle Eastern and Sufi Rhythms.
• Moroccan & Ghanaian Drumming & Rhythms.
• Introduction to Solkattu (South Indian Rhythmic Vocalization).
• How to easily improvise in all meters.
• How to notate for hand drums.
• Gentle Yoga stretches to prepare your body for drumming.

Frame Drums + African Drums provided. All Levels Welcome

Beginning Intensives:
Saturday's, September 5 & 19, 1-4pm

Intermediate Intensives:
Sunday's, September 6 & 20, 2-5pm

Private home in Topanga, CA

Fee:
Only $95 for two, three hour class sessions
$50 single class supplement
