Here's an awesome old movie from the 1930's. I am not sure exactly who's playing the drum, the email on FrameDrummer lists Jabbar Karyagdioglu as the famous singer from Azerbaijan singing and playing on Dayere (Ghaval). But the Youtube notes say that it's Kurban Primov (Qurban Pirimov on framedrum. If you know, please leave a comment (in English). The quality isn't great, but it's a charming video:
